Boondh--Jal

Boondh is Jal's second offering...presently released in Pakistan...soon to be released in India..( I guess they gonna remove the track "yeh mera Pakistan" and then release it)

Not as rocking as their first albums...but this one surely has lots of gems hidden in it...Beautiful music composition..and beautiful voice..Goher Mumtaz lends his raw untrained voice beautifully to accompany his brilliant music in some songs...

The album starts out with a brilliant track SAJNI...it has the best choruses i have ever heard now a days....it talks about how one misses ones loved ones when in a depressed mood....

The Second song is Raatein....good listen will grow up on you...followed by Hamein Itna Pyaar...perhaps the best listen on this album...May be the lyrics are little bit cliched.. but too good to listen...nice composition by Goher and sung well by him too...his raw voice perfectly complements this song....
Next up is Payal....has kind of a classical touch to it...sung beautifully by Farhan accompanied by good leads....and a beautiful transition from slow and clasical mood to kind of rock touch in between the track..executed beautifully....
The next good one is a Punjabi track called Main Mast Hoon....its a folk song...shows that Jal can really compose really diverse musics...from folk, latin, soft rock,classic....

The other listenable tracks are...mahiya and Moray Piya...
This album also has a slow version of Sajni and Hamein Itna Pyaar in the end...guess it's kind of a filler..but farhan's voice really steals the show...
But this album surely misses the benchmark, that Jal had established with their album AADAT...what this offering misses are songs like Lamhein, Aadat...

Overall its a nice listen...especially in a depressed mood...itll certainly make you feel happy...as any other Jal song does...

Meri Kahani--- Atif Aslam

This is Atifs second release in India after Doorie. This album consists of 12 so called NEW TRACKS but actually these tracks are borrowed from his Pakistan Release called HAGAAMI HALAAT.
The album starts out with the Title track Meri kahani. in which atif talks about Childhood in general..about its innocence...its freedom..and so on..not that great but hummable riff...itll surely grow on you
The highlight of this album are the songs Rabba Sacheya and Yaaro
Rabba Sacheya...brilliant Panjabi song...fantastic music..especially the use of rhythm guitar..and beautiful execution..Its the must hear of the whole album
Yaaro...Great song Symbolising friendship...nice simple lyrics..executed greatly...bit loose in production...but atif infuses life into it...

The other songs worth listen are

Hungaami Halaat--Kinda Metal touch to this song..here Atif talks about the ongoing unrest in pakistan.
Chor Gaye
Humrahi
Mai nee

Overall a good Listen but not as great as his previous one...Atif still lacks a Goher Mumtaz....Guess he should brush up his musical composition skills whic can perfectly couple his voice
